The program aims to prepare workers for the next generation of **Autonomous Versatile Robotics (AVR)**, which integrates AI into manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance tasks. Marc Segura, president of ABB Robotics, emphasized that **84% of companies lack AI-aligned job redesigns**, despite 53% reporting efforts to build AI fluency, per a white paper co-developed with AWS, Deloitte, and others. The curriculum combines hands-on training with **ABB RobotStudio** and **NVIDIA Omniverse**, offering a certificate in robotics, simulation, and physical AI upon completion.\n\nThe initiative highlights a collaborative approach between academia, industry, and tech providers to bridge the skills gap. ABB and NVIDIA stress that **technology alone won’t drive adoption**—workers must understand how to deploy AI in real-world production systems. The program will be showcased at GTC Berlin, with further details expected on its rollout timeline.","keyPoints":["ABB Robotics and NVIDIA launch a physical AI education program at GTC Berlin, targeting industrial robotics skills","White paper finds 84% of companies haven’t redesigned jobs for AI despite 53% building AI fluency","Curriculum includes hands-on training with ABB RobotStudio and NVIDIA Omniverse, offering a certificate"],"whyItMatters":"The program addresses a critical gap: while AI adoption in manufacturing grows, workers lack training to integrate it into physical systems. This collaboration could accelerate adoption by aligning education with real-world industrial needs.","category":{"slug":"robotics","name":"Robotics & Physical AI","url":"https://digestai.news/category/robotics"},"entities":{"companies":["ABB Robotics","NVIDIA","Amazon Web Services","Deloitte","AsiaInfo","SKAI Intelligence"],"models":[],"people":["Marc Segura"]},"firstPublishedAt":"2026-11-05T16:00:00Z","updatedAt":"2026-11-05T16:00:00Z","sourceCount":1,"hasPrimarySource":false,"sources":[{"outlet":"automationworld.com","title":"ABB Robotics Launches Blueprint For Physical AI Education At NVIDIA GTC Berlin","url":"https://automationworld.com/analytics/news/55417273/abb-robotics-launches-blueprint-for-physical-ai-education-at-nvidia-gtc-berlin","publishedAt":"2026-11-05T16:00:00Z","type":"press","primary":false,"lead":true}],"sourceNotes":null,"discussions":[],"thread":null,"cite":{"text":"Digest AI, \"ABB Robotics and NVIDIA launch physical AI education program at GTC Berlin\", 5 November 2026, https://digestai.news/story/abb-robotics-and-nvidia-launch-physical-ai-education-program-at-gtc-be","publisher":"Digest AI","title":"ABB Robotics and NVIDIA launch physical AI education program at GTC Berlin","datePublished":"2026-11-05T16:00:00Z","url":"https://digestai.news/story/abb-robotics-and-nvidia-launch-physical-ai-education-program-at-gtc-be"},"generatedBy":"Written by Digest AI's editorial model from the linked sources; the sources are the record.","license":"Headlines, digests and key points are written by Digest AI and may be quoted with a link to the story page.
