She had boarded the wrong vehicle in Ranebennur, Karnataka, on October 6 and ended up in Nalasopara, Palghar district. Local police took her to Samarth Ashram in Virar Phata for shelter.\n\nOfficials stated that the Jeevan Aanand Sanstha (JAS) team used a combination of Google Search techniques and ChatGPT to analyze localized information. This approach allowed them to contact police in Ranebannur. The team also mobilized local community networks to assist in the search.\n\nAccording to trustee Kisan Choure, these efforts led to contact with Razak Bi’s daughters, sons-in-law, and nephews. They took her home on October 22. Choure noted that while technology provided the path, compassion ultimately brought the family together. The story highlights a practical application of AI tools in humanitarian efforts.","keyPoints":["Razak Bi was missing for 16 days after boarding the wrong vehicle in Karnataka.","JAS team used Google Search and ChatGPT to analyze localized information.","Family reunited with Razak Bi on October 22 after police and community help."],"whyItMatters":"This case demonstrates a practical, low-tech application of AI and search engines in humanitarian efforts, showing how accessible tools can assist in locating vulnerable individuals.","category":{"slug":"society","name":"Society & Work","url":"https://digestai.news/category/society"},"entities":{"companies":["Google","Jeevan Aanand Sanstha"],"models":["ChatGPT"],"people":["Razak Bi","Kisan Choure"]},"firstPublishedAt":"2026-10-25T19:37:00Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-25T19:37:00Z","sourceCount":1,"hasPrimarySource":false,"sources":[{"outlet":"deccanchronicle.com","title":"AI, Google Search Help Reunite Missing 70-Year-Old Woman With Family","url":"https://deccanchronicle.com/southern-states/karnataka/ai-google-search-help-reunite-missing-70-year-old-woman-with-family-1998972","publishedAt":"2026-10-25T19:37:00Z","type":"press","primary":false,"lead":true}],"sourceNotes":null,"discussions":[],"thread":null,"cite":{"text":"Digest AI, \"AI and Google Search help reunite missing 70-year-old woman with family\", 25 October 2026, https://digestai.news/story/ai-and-google-search-help-reunite-missing-70-year-old-woman-with-famil","publisher":"Digest AI","title":"AI and Google Search help reunite missing 70-year-old woman with family","datePublished":"2026-10-25T19:37:00Z","url":"https://digestai.news/story/ai-and-google-search-help-reunite-missing-70-year-old-woman-with-famil"},"generatedBy":"Written by Digest AI's editorial model from the linked sources; the sources are the record.","license":"Headlines, digests and key points are written by Digest AI and may be quoted with a link to the story page.
