## Summary

AI Search Engineers, an Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) agency, says three Google Business Profile fields—business name, primary category, and description—are the most common misaligned signals suppressing AI Overview appearances for professional service businesses. Their internal audit of law firms, healthcare practices, dental clinics, and other sectors found that aligning these fields with website entity definitions yields the fastest improvement in local AI search visibility, according to the agency’s unpublished data. The agency claims Google’s AI Overviews prioritize high-authority signals, and mismatches between Business Profile and website details weaken entity model confidence, reducing AI-generated recommendations for location-specific queries. Results vary by business and lack independent verification, the agency notes.

## Key points

- Three Google Business Profile fields—name, category, description—are most often misaligned with website entity definitions
- AI Search Engineers’ internal audit links misalignment to fewer AI Overview appearances for professional services
- Agency claims matching signals improves Google AI’s entity model confidence, though results vary and are unconfirmed

## Why it matters

For professional service businesses, fixing these three fields could boost visibility in Google AI Overviews without costly website changes.
