Users report the slides lack personalization and feature poorly generated images, often unrelated to their interests. The slides appear to push Amazon’s AI podcasts and chatty content, which some find intrusive on their home display.\n\nAmazon does not confirm the AI’s purpose but offers ways to limit these slides. Users can downvote slides via the device’s touchscreen menu, disable unwanted content categories in *Settings > Display & Appearance > Content Categories*, or enable *Rotate Once* to show slides only once. Alternatively, users can switch the display to a manually selected photo album. The changes require navigating the device’s interface directly, as the Alexa app lacks these options.","keyPoints":["Echo Show users can downvote AI slides via the device’s touchscreen menu to reduce unwanted content","Disable *Created For You* categories or enable *Rotate Once* in *Settings > Display & Appearance*","Switch display to a photo album to exclude AI-generated slides entirely"],"whyItMatters":"Users can now control intrusive AI ads on Amazon’s Echo Show, improving privacy and relevance for smart display owners.","category":{"slug":"hardware","name":"Hardware & Compute","url":"https://digestai.news/category/hardware"},"entities":{"companies":["Amazon"],"models":[],"people":[]},"firstPublishedAt":"2026-11-03T04:00:00Z","updatedAt":"2026-11-03T04:00:00Z","sourceCount":1,"hasPrimarySource":false,"sources":[{"outlet":"tech.yahoo.com","title":"Is Your Echo Show Display Filling With AI Slop?
