## Summary

The reviewer examined ASUS’s new ProArt P16, the first notebook to ship with NVIDIA’s RTX Spark system‑on‑chip.

In benchmark testing the laptop lagged behind an earlier ASUS A16 on PCMark 10 Applications by about 3,000 points and fell slightly short in Geekbench 6 single‑thread CPU scores. However, its GPU outperformed a MacBook Pro with an M5 Max by 4,700 points in Geekbench 6, and it posted 3,895 points in UL Procyon’s AI Computer Vision 2 test versus 3,267 for the same MacBook. The AI Image Generation score was 1,519, roughly 600 points higher than Apple’s.

Battery life measured 10 hours 51 minutes on the PCMark 10 Applications benchmark, trailing Dell’s XPS 16 which hit nearly 12 hours. The reviewer praised the keyboard, haptic touchpad and Dolby Atmos‑enabled speakers, but noted the chassis is a fingerprint magnet and that Windows‑on‑Arm relies on Microsoft’s Prism emulator, which can cause performance drops or compatibility issues for some games and older software. The laptop is positioned for AI professionals who need on‑device model inference, while gamers and general users may find better value in conventional Intel or AMD‑based machines.

## Key points

- GPU benchmark 4,700 points ahead of MacBook Pro M5 Max; AI scores also surpass Apple equivalents.

## Why it matters

NVIDIA’s RTX Spark brings a dedicated Arm‑based AI accelerator to Windows laptops, giving developers a high‑performance on‑device option but at a premium price.
