## Summary

Clay co-founder and CEO Kareem Amin will speak at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 about the rise of the **GTM engineer**, a role that uses AI and automation to streamline revenue-generating workflows. The session, titled *“The GTM Engineer: How AI Created Tech’s Next Big Job Category,”* will explore how AI is reshaping go-to-market (GTM) teams by enabling automation of tasks like prospect research, data enrichment, and personalized outreach—previously handled manually or across multiple tools.

Clay, which Amin co-founded in 2017, has positioned itself as a leader in this space. Its AI-powered agent, **Claygent**, automates GTM workflows for sales, marketing, and recruiting teams. The company’s growth reflects this trend: it tripled annual recurring revenue to **$100 million** in 2025 and raised **$115 million** in a Series D round at a **$7.1 billion valuation** in September. Clay also launched a **$1 million scholarship fund** to train GTM engineers. The role is gaining traction, with **100+ job listings appearing monthly**, including at companies like **Cursor, Lovable, and Webflow**. Amin’s talk will highlight how AI-native GTM systems could redefine growth strategies for startups and enterprises alike.
