The move aims to accelerate the development of Devin, described as the first autonomous software engineer capable of planning, writing, testing, and shipping production code. The Dioxus team will bring expertise in app development and systems engineering to improve Devin's virtual machine, computer use skills, and testing capabilities. Both companies plan to continue supporting open-source projects like Dioxus, Blitz, Taffy, and Subsecond while investing heavily in Dioxus-Native and Blitz. Cognition used Dioxus extensively to build and enhance Devin, recognizing a natural fit with the Dioxus team.","keyPoints":["Cognition joins forces with Dioxus team on autonomous coding agent Devin","Dioxus team will improve Devin's virtual machine, testing capabilities","Both companies plan to continue supporting open-source projects"],"whyItMatters":"This collaboration between Cognition and the Dioxus team is significant for advancing AI-driven software engineering tools, potentially leading to more efficient development processes.","category":{"slug":"enterprise","name":"Enterprise & Industry","url":"https://digestai.news/category/enterprise"},"entities":{"companies":["Cognition","Dioxus Labs"],"models":[],"people":["Jonathan Kelley"]},"firstPublishedAt":"2026-09-10T17:54:02Z","updatedAt":"2026-09-10T17:54:02Z","sourceCount":1,"hasPrimarySource":false,"sources":[{"outlet":"Unite.AI","title":"Cognition Adds Dioxus Team to Advance Devin Coding Agent","url":"https://unite.ai/cognition-adds-dioxus-team-to-advance-devin-coding-agent","publishedAt":"2026-09-10T17:54:02Z","type":"press","primary":false,"lead":true}],"sourceNotes":null,"discussions":[],"thread":null,"cite":{"text":"Digest AI, \"Cognition Joins Forces with Dioxus Team on Autonomous Coding Agent Devin\", 10 September 2026, https://digestai.news/story/cognition-joins-forces-with-dioxus-team-on-autonomous-coding-agent-devin","publisher":"Digest AI","title":"Cognition Joins Forces with Dioxus Team on Autonomous Coding Agent Devin","datePublished":"2026-09-10T17:54:02Z","url":"https://digestai.news/story/cognition-joins-forces-with-dioxus-team-on-autonomous-coding-agent-devin"},"generatedBy":"Written by Digest AI's editorial model from the linked sources; the sources are the record.","license":"Headlines, digests and key points are written by Digest AI and may be quoted with a link to the story page.
