## Summary

The company says that when a Markdown (.md) file is uploaded, the preview now renders tables, headings and other formatting instead of the “bunch of symbols” users previously saw.

The improvement is aimed at developers and AI practitioners, because large language models and other AI agents often read Markdown for instructions and context. The option appears when right‑clicking a server or channel icon on the sidebar. Google has recently added similar Markdown editing capabilities to Docs, letting users edit .md files without conversion.

Better previews could reduce confusion when sharing READMEs, prompts or project documentation on Discord, making the platform a more convenient hub for AI‑related community discussions. Teams that rely on quick copy‑paste of prompts can verify formatting before sharing.

## Key points

- Discord’s update lets uploaded .md files display formatted previews instead of symbols.
- New “Move to…” right‑click option lets users reorganise servers and channels.

## Why it matters

Accurate Markdown previews make it easier for developers and AI agents to share and read documentation on Discord, improving collaboration and reducing errors.
