The feature, available now in the U.S., connects searches to direct booking links via field service software or marketplace accounts. Jobber and Housecall Pro say eligible U.S. customers can take these requests without lead fees, while Angi directs homeowners to its profiles for quote requests. Google’s Robby Stein announced the update on X, noting it aligns with broader plans from Google I/O 2026 to integrate agentic booking for local services, including calling businesses on behalf of users by summer 2026.\n\nQualification varies by platform. Jobber requires a paid subscription, Google Business Profile sync, and assigned booking forms, while Housecall Pro auto-enrolls professionals without additional steps. Angi’s role remains unclear on fees for AI-generated quote requests, though its annual report notes pros pay for consumer matches. Businesses must verify their eligibility through their respective platforms, as Google’s selection criteria remain unspecified. ServiceTitan is slated for future integration.","keyPoints":["Google’s AI Mode now links to direct bookings via Jobber, Housecall Pro, Angi, and Thumbtack in the U.S.","Jobber and Housecall Pro offer no-lead-fee bookings for eligible U.S. customers, while Angi directs to its profiles","Businesses must meet platform-specific requirements, like Google Business Profile syncs or paid subscriptions"],"whyItMatters":"This expands AI-driven booking for home services, giving small businesses a new direct channel to capture leads without traditional ad fees.
