## Summary

Google has introduced a new AI-powered festive experience in its Search app for Diwali 2026. The feature allows users to upload personal photographs and transform them into Diwali-themed visuals, including greeting cards, rangoli portraits, and home decor inspiration.

To access the tool, users search for 'Diwali' or 'Diwali 2026' on the Google app. A prompt labeled 'Be part of the tradition' appears, leading to a 'Celebrate Diwali' interface. Here, users can select from three pre-defined creative options. Google provides ready-made prompts for each style, which users can edit or replace with their own instructions. The AI Mode then generates the image based on the uploaded photo and the specified details, such as attire, lighting, and background elements.

This feature is part of Google's broader integration of generative AI into its search ecosystem, offering a practical use case for image generation during cultural festivals. The Diwali celebrations in 2026 are scheduled from November 7 to November 11, with the main Lakshmi Puja on November 8.
