## Summary

Google says businesses that manage a Business Profile with a Google Workspace account are now getting access to Gemini’s profile tools, with the rollout beginning immediately. The Small Business Bulletin posted by Lisa Landsman on Nov. 5 notes that a “Message” button appears next to the “Call” button on Google Maps listings for Android and iOS, and that owners can upload photos, videos, and generate hours using plain‑language prompts such as “special hours for Black Friday.”

Google’s help page, however, still states that the feature isn’t available when signing in with a work or school account, so admins must enable Gemini app access in the Admin console and employees must use a personal Google Account for now. The exclusion for the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom was removed on Oct. 13, and the current page says the Gemini web app is available wherever it is supported, though linking remains limited to a single verified profile.

Marketers can test the new message button before the holiday rush and watch for future updates that may lift the personal‑account restriction or expand the one‑profile limit.

## Key points

- Google rolls out Gemini Business Profile tools for Workspace accounts, adding a Message button next to Call on Maps
- Help page still requires a personal Google Account; work accounts aren’t supported yet
- EEA and UK exclusions were removed on Oct. 13, but linking is limited to one verified profile

## Why it matters

The update lets marketers place a direct chat option on Google Maps listings, improving customer outreach and simplifying profile management across regions.
