The card includes a brief summary, decisions made, action items with owners, and links to notes, recordings and transcripts. The feature works when “automatic notes” (powered by Gemini) is enabled and a chat exists for the meeting. It rolls out first to early‑access Workspace customers from October 16 and to standard customers starting October 27, and can be turned off by administrators.\n\nOn October 16, 2026, ChatGPT introduced a new “Slides” feature for paid Pro, Business and Enterprise users. Available in browsers and desktop apps, Slides lets users create decks from scratch or templates, edit text, diagrams and graphs, collaborate in real time, and present directly within ChatGPT. Finished slides can be exported as PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides files. The rollout follows a sequential “Space”‑based deployment.\n\nBoth updates aim to reduce the time spent turning meeting notes into presentation material. Users are advised to verify AI‑generated decisions and action‑item owners, and to avoid using the summary card for meetings covering personnel, evaluation or health topics, as the full transcript is visible to all chat participants.","keyPoints":["Google Chat posts AI‑generated meeting summary cards after meetings, announced Oct 19 2026.","ChatGPT Slides lets paid users create, edit, collaborate on and present slide decks, launched Oct 16 2026.","Both features roll out sequentially; early Workspace customers get Google Chat updates from Oct 16, standard from Oct 27."],"whyItMatters":"Automating meeting notes and slide creation speeds internal communication and decision‑making, letting teams focus on verification rather than manual drafting.","category":{"slug":"enterprise","name":"Enterprise & Industry","url":"https://digestai.news/category/enterprise"},"entities":{"companies":["Google"],"models":["Gemini","Claude"],"people":["Ryo Kashiwagi"]},"firstPublishedAt":"2026-10-24T02:30:00Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-24T02:30:00Z","sourceCount":1,"hasPrimarySource":false,"sources":[{"outlet":"note.com","title":"Meeting summaries and slides for management are starting to be generated by AI | 4 effective workplace changes including Google Chat meeting summaries and ChatGPT slides | 3rd","url":"https://note.com/ryo_kashi91/n/n33b91aa54a91?hl=en","publishedAt":"2026-10-24T02:30:00Z","type":"press","primary":false,"lead":true}],"sourceNotes":null,"discussions":[],"thread":{"title":"AI Productivity Tools Expand Across Tech Giants","url":"https://digestai.news/thread/google-adds-meeting-recaps-to-chat-for-gemini-enabled-workspace","storyCount":2},"cite":{"text":"Digest AI, \"Google Chat adds AI meeting summaries; ChatGPT launches Slides for slide creation\", 24 October 2026, https://digestai.news/story/google-chat-adds-ai-meeting-summaries-chatgpt-launches-slides-for-slid","publisher":"Digest AI","title":"Google Chat adds AI meeting summaries; ChatGPT launches Slides for slide creation","datePublished":"2026-10-24T02:30:00Z","url":"https://digestai.news/story/google-chat-adds-ai-meeting-summaries-chatgpt-launches-slides-for-slid"},"generatedBy":"Written by Digest AI's editorial model from the linked sources; the sources are the record.","license":"Headlines, digests and key points are written by Digest AI and may be quoted with a link to the story page.
