## Summary

Google announced a new feature that lets Android users launch their own private, vibe‑coded applications directly from Google Play using a standard Google account. The apps are created with Google AI Studio, stay hidden from Play Store search and listings, and are visible only to the creator. The rollout starts in the United States for users aged 18 and older and the apps must still follow existing Play policies.

Sam Bright, Google’s VP & GM for the Play and Developer Ecosystem, said the change moves the store from “there’s an app for that” to “there’s an app for me.” In the coming months Google plans to let creators share these personal apps with a trusted circle of friends and eventually publish them publicly after safety reviews. The update also brings a personalized game recommendation engine called Game Finder, new Community Posts, 48‑hour gaming sprints, and an upgraded Ask Play assistant that can compare similar apps. An age‑range feature lets parents share a child’s age range with developers for age‑appropriate experiences.

## Key points

- Google Play now lets users launch private, vibe‑coded Android apps via Google AI Studio, visible only to the creator.
- Feature initially rolls out in the U.S. for users 18+ and must comply with existing Play policies.
- Google also introduced Game Finder recommendations, Ask Play comparison upgrades, and an age‑range sharing option.
