## Summary

Google is testing a change to its Search experience by removing the AI Mode shortcut from Incognito Mode in Chrome. A user named Len Raleigh noticed the button was missing in Incognito Mode but still visible elsewhere. The move appears to be part of an experiment with limited users, though Google has not confirmed it officially yet.

The decision may reflect concerns over AI Mode’s business impact. Google’s Chief Business Officer, Philipp Schindler, reportedly acknowledged during an investor call that AI Mode’s advertising revenue is underperforming. Additionally, a *New York Times* report found Google’s AI Overviews provide incorrect information about 10% of the time, raising accuracy concerns. The shift could also signal a strategic pivot as chatbots gain popularity and Google risks losing its dominance in search.
