## Summary

IFS introduced **IFS Intelligence** on October 13, 2026, at its *IFS Unleashed* event in Orlando. The product uses live data from industrial systems to answer plain-language questions, explain conditions, and execute approved actions within minutes. It operates under **IFS’s Industrial AI Harness**, a governance framework designed to enforce business rules, permissions, and audit controls—preventing unauthorized actions or data leaks. IFS claims the Harness ensures AI stays within user permissions, avoids external AI providers, and supports staged autonomy (from copilot to autonomous actions with escalation). The system integrates with third-party tools like Microsoft 365 and IFS’s own software, reducing implementation time and risk.

Three core features—**Cowork**, **Loops**, and **Runway**—enable users to investigate issues, automate workflows, and accelerate software migrations. IFS cites research showing **43% of frontline teams** adopted digital workers in the past year, but only **11%** validated AI outputs for critical processes. Early adopters, like **Sims Crane & Equipment**, report using IFS Intelligence to optimize fleet operations and reduce manual reporting. The product is available now with a universal enterprise license, including a fair-usage cap for AI executions, and no feature restrictions tied to software tiers.

## Key points

- IFS Intelligence uses live industrial data to answer questions, explain conditions, and execute approved actions within minutes
- Industrial AI Harness enforces business rules, permissions, and audit controls to prevent unauthorized AI actions or data leaks
- Product includes Cowork (investigate/approve actions), Loops (automate workflows), and Runway (accelerate software migrations)

## Why it matters

IFS Intelligence targets industrial inefficiencies by bridging siloed systems and enabling governed AI actions, potentially saving companies millions in downtime and manual work. Its focus on sovereignty and staged autonomy contrasts with generic AI tools, appealing to sectors prioritizing control and compliance.
