## Summary

Meta restricted an AI‑generated video of Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan dancing with KSEB officials after it amassed 1.78 crore views on Instagram. The clip, posted by the "aikavala" page, was created using artificial intelligence and was praised by Satheesan at a Kerala High Court event. Meta said the restriction followed a legal request from the Government of India, and the content remains accessible from outside India.

The move comes amid earlier tensions between Meta and the Kerala government, when the platform had removed videos critical of the state and the chief minister. Satheesan’s office had previously asked Meta to restore those posts, but the company cited technical reasons. The incident highlights how AI‑generated political content can trigger swift regulatory action and raises questions about platform moderation policies and the balance between free expression and compliance with local laws.
