## Summary

Mozilla says its Smart Window feature can pull data from open tabs to auto‑fill online forms, such as work history from LinkedIn or a portfolio. The tool works on text fields and will soon support dropdowns and PDFs. Mozilla notes that data from source pages is shared with Google’s Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite, the model that generates the suggestions.

The update also lets users set up a “watch” task by typing "/watch" in the Smart Window chat. Firefox will check the specified pages daily or weekly, only while the browser is open, and will notify the user of changes. If no change is detected for 60 days, the watch pauses, and after 90 days it stops entirely.

These features are rolling out to the Smart Window beta on desktop in the US and Canada, with availability in other countries in the coming months.

## Key points

- New watch feature tracks webpage updates daily or weekly

## Why it matters

AI integration in browsers boosts productivity but raises data‑sharing concerns; the watch feature adds real‑time monitoring for sales and job listings.
