## Summary

Netflix is introducing a new "AI Discover" tab to its TV app, designed to help users find content through experimental, AI-powered features. The initial rollout focuses on themed recommendations, offering categories such as "Something Light," "Family Movie Night," and "Quick Watches." When users select a theme, the system generates specific suggestions. If a user dislikes a recommendation, they can provide feedback, and the app is designed to remember this preference for future interactions.

The company describes the feature as being powered by a new intelligence layer that responds to member input in real time and continues to learn. This "Discover" tab will appear in the top menu of the interface. The feature is currently rolling out gradually in the United States, specifically targeting members who use Netflix in English on supported television devices.

This launch occurs against a backdrop of recent corporate changes, including the layoff of approximately 1,000 employees. Reports indicate that these cuts were driven by slowing growth and a reported decrease in user viewing time. The new AI tool aims to enhance engagement by making content discovery more intuitive and personalized.
