## Summary

NxtGen, an Indian cloud and AI services provider, announced on October 28 it has been named an **OpenAI Select Partner** within the OpenAI Partner Network. The designation grants NxtGen access to OpenAI’s resources, tools, and support to help enterprises integrate **GPT-6 Astra** into their workflows responsibly and at scale.

The partnership focuses on Indian businesses, offering architecture, security, access controls, and local operational support. NxtGen will also introduce **SpeedCode**, an India-specific coding agent built using OpenAI’s API and the open-source Codex CLI. SpeedCode aims to assist engineering teams in generating scoped, tested, and reviewable code changes while maintaining developer oversight. A controlled pilot will evaluate metrics like quality, completion time, and cost before broader adoption.

## Key points

- NxtGen named an OpenAI Select Partner to help Indian enterprises adopt GPT-6 Astra responsibly
- SpeedCode coding agent uses OpenAI API and Codex CLI for scoped, tested code generation
- Controlled pilot assesses quality, time, cost, and business outcomes for engineering teams

## Why it matters

This partnership expands OpenAI’s reach in India, where enterprises need governed AI adoption. SpeedCode could streamline coding workflows for local teams, but its pilot phase will determine real-world impact.
