## Summary

OpenAI announced that it intends to create humanoid robots equipped with its artificial‑intelligence technology. CEO Sam Altman said the biggest hurdle is building a robot "brain" that can perceive the real world, make decisions and carry out tasks safely and accurately. He added that a human‑like form is useful because most environments are designed for people.

The company has not disclosed the robots' final design, target tasks, or timeline. OpenAI is recruiting specialists in AI systems and motion‑control engineering to develop the necessary hardware and software. Its longer‑term vision includes general‑purpose robots that could assist with a wide range of activities, eventually leading to personal assistants for everyday life. The announcement signals OpenAI’s move from purely software‑based AI toward physical agents, though many details remain uncertain.
