## Summary

Pinterest launched *Beauty Guides* on Tuesday, an AI feature that turns saved beauty-related Pins—like hairstyles or nail designs—into practical action plans for salon visits. Powered by the company’s *Pinterest Intelligence*, the guides translate user-friendly terms into professional jargon (e.g., *balayage*, *root melt*) and provide details such as estimated time, cost ranges, and maintenance tips (e.g., trimming frequency). The feature appears when users tap the *Get the Guide* button on relevant Pins and covers hairstyle, color, nail shape, and finish categories at launch.

The move reflects Pinterest’s strategy to embed AI into everyday user workflows by addressing a gap in beauty planning. While the feature offers convenience—such as knowing a *balayage* may cost *into the hundreds*—it remains limited to visual inspiration already saved by users. No pricing or availability details beyond the launch were provided.

## Key points

- Pinterest’s *Beauty Guides* use AI to convert saved beauty Pins into salon-ready plans with terms, time, cost, and maintenance details
- Feature launched for hairstyle, color, nail shape, and finish categories, triggered by tapping *Get the Guide*
- Powered by *Pinterest Intelligence*; no subscription or additional cost mentioned in the announcement

## Why it matters

This bridges the gap between casual inspiration and professional execution, potentially increasing user engagement with Pinterest’s platform while demonstrating how AI can simplify niche, visual workflows for everyday tasks.
