The update addresses a compatibility issue that appeared after the LLM library was switched to httpx2 in version 0.33. The change broke plugins that relied on https without explicitly depending on the httpx2 package.\n\nThe new release restores functionality for llm-tools-datasette and any other plugins affected by the same issue. Users of the plugin can now continue to run data‑driven LLM workflows without encountering the previous breakage. The fix is available through the GitHub release linked in the announcement.","keyPoints":["llm-tools-datasette updated to version 0.1.1.","Fix resolves breakage caused by moving LLM to httpx2 in LLM 0.33.","Restores plugins that used https without a direct httpx2 dependency."],"whyItMatters":"Ensuring the plugin works after LLM's switch to httpx2 prevents runtime errors for developers building data‑centric LLM applications.","category":{"slug":"agents","name":"Agents & Tools","url":"https://digestai.news/category/agents"},"entities":{"companies":[],"models":[],"people":["Simon Willison"]},"firstPublishedAt":"2026-10-18T23:43:09Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-18T23:43:09Z","sourceCount":1,"hasPrimarySource":false,"sources":[{"outlet":"Simon Willison","title":"llm-tools-datasette 0.1.1","url":"https://simonwillison.net/2026/Oct/18/llm-tools-datasette","publishedAt":"2026-10-18T23:43:09Z","type":"newsletter","primary":false,"lead":true}],"sourceNotes":null,"discussions":[],"thread":null,"cite":{"text":"Digest AI, \"Simon Willison releases llm-tools-datasette 0.1.1\", 18 October 2026, https://digestai.news/story/simon-willison-releases-llm-tools-datasette-0-1-1","publisher":"Digest AI","title":"Simon Willison releases llm-tools-datasette 0.1.1","datePublished":"2026-10-18T23:43:09Z","url":"https://digestai.news/story/simon-willison-releases-llm-tools-datasette-0-1-1"},"generatedBy":"Written by Digest AI's editorial model from the linked sources; the sources are the record.","license":"Headlines, digests and key points are written by Digest AI and may be quoted with a link to the story page.
