## Summary

At an Ohio rally, former President Donald Trump defended data centers that are key to artificial‑intelligence projects, arguing they support the technology sector.

Trump’s remarks came while he backed Republican Sen. Jon Husted, and he highlighted the importance of these facilities for AI development. Critics from both parties warned that data centers could raise electricity costs and strain land and water resources.

Observers will watch Ohio’s legislative actions, especially H.B. 646, and statements from Governor Mike DeWine and other state officials, to gauge whether a statewide data‑center moratorium will be pursued. Market analysts see Trump’s comments as a potential slowdown of efforts to restrict data‑center growth.
