## Summary

Zenzap, an AI-enhanced messaging app for businesses, secured $44 million in funding from investors including Bessemer, Lightspeed, and individual backers like Nir Zohar and Yoram Tietz. Founded in 2022 by Guy Weiss, Noam Neumann, and Jonatan Bien, the startup targets companies frustrated with consumer apps like WhatsApp or Slack for workplace use due to security or usability gaps.

The app offers free chat features—group messaging, task management, and AI voice search—while paid plans start at $51/month for up to 20 users. They unlock AI agents for workflow automation, call transcriptions, and higher file limits. Clients include FedEx, Dollar General, and fast-food chains like Taco Bell and McDonald’s. Bessemer’s Adam Fisher called the app’s broad appeal a key differentiator, noting it bridges personal and work communication needs.

## Key points

- Zenzap raised $44M from Bessemer, Lightspeed, and individual investors like Nir Zohar
- App targets businesses avoiding WhatsApp/Slack for security or mobile-first workflows
- Paid plans start at $51/month for 20 users, with AI agents for automation and transcriptions

## Why it matters

Zenzap fills a gap for companies needing secure, AI-powered messaging beyond consumer apps or rigid enterprise tools. Its focus on mobile-first workflows could appeal to industries like fast food and healthcare, where Slack or Teams fall short.
