Nvidia might write a second $10 billion check for Anthropic

The $10 billion would buy about 1 % of the company, a small slice of the $100 billion raise but a significant chunk of the offering. Nvidia’s earlier 2025 investment of up to $10 billion was tied to up to 1 gigawatt of compute on Nvidia’s Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin systems; the new stake may not involve a similar hardware commitment. Nvidia’s earnings for the three months ended July 26 were $59.7 billion, with revenue growth accelerating to 106 % year over year.

The deal could signal confidence in Anthropic and affect other investors, but neither company has confirmed the talks. Nvidia’s private stakes rose from $22.3 billion in late January to $47.9 billion as of July 26, a twelve‑fold increase in a year when quarterly revenue about doubled.
