PATEO deploys NVIDIA Nemotron and ByteDance Doubao in AI Box

The system combines local AI inference with PATEO’s AI Agent platform to interpret user requests and cabin conditions. It can coordinate vehicle functions such as climate control, window operation, and seat massage based on driver fatigue or air quality data. The platform also includes Sentinel AI, which identifies risks like parking violations, flooding, and fire. PATEO noted that the AI Box connects perception, reasoning, execution, and learning, relying on Thor’s high memory bandwidth to manage growing key-value caches during long trips.

The solution aims to provide proactive intelligence in the cockpit, allowing occupants to adjust settings via voice or gestures. With user authorization, the system remembers preferences and habits to personalize future interactions. Cloud updates extend the system’s capabilities, while core functions remain available offline. The collaboration involves ByteDance and a leading new energy vehicle automaker for joint development.
