CoRover.ai and Tech Mahindra partner to launch India-built AI solutions globally

Tech Mahindra’s Project Indus, described as an effort to build India’s own large language model, is in beta testing with 539 million parameters and a training corpus of 10 billion pure Hindi and dialect tokens covering Hindi and more than 37 dialects. The model is targeted at applications such as a digital assistant for over 140 million farmers, education enablement, dialect preservation and rural finance kiosks. CoRover’s BharatGPT platform, billed as India’s first indigenous LLM, claims more than 1 billion users, support for over 120 languages, and response accuracy above 90 percent. It delivers video, voice and text bots, Aadhaar‑based payment gateways, real‑time analytics and ERP/CRM integrations, and runs on Google Cloud Platform for data sovereignty.

CoRover founder and CEO Ankush Sabharwal said the deal lets both firms turn innovation into practical solutions that respect local needs and have global relevance. Tech Mahindra’s chief AI officer Nikhil Malhotra highlighted the ambition to scale India‑origin AI from research to widespread adoption across enterprises and public institutions.
